The David Crowder Band came to town and played at Metropolitan Park last night. Beau, the FOH engineer at Access, was contracted to be the Technical Director for the show, which included 3 opening bands plus DC*B. Kevin was the Stage Manager… a job that assumes inherent frustration and a stress level that I would not wish upon anybody. And Darin supplied all of the backline for the DC*B.
All of the Access Church connections meant All Access passes and a parking spot in the production lot (right behind the stage). All this for the small price of unloading a few amps, eating free meals, playing around with rockstars (and some wanna-be-rockstars), and moving equipment around in between bands. Not bad, huh?
DC*B rocked. All of the bands were very good, actually. The mixes for each band were great. Lighting and video production left alot to be desired (all the trusses were hung crooked), but it didn’t detract from the event.
Here are some pictures (sorry for the quality)…

(my vantage point for a good portion of the show)

(when I wasn’t stage right, I was in the production tower… aaahhhh, an unobstructed view and perfect sound)
